Julie's passion for horses has kept her active in the horse community for over 30 years. After her first formal riding lesson, it was all up hill from there.

Competing in local hunter shows proved to be a great personal challenge. She found that her strength was in equitation.

Years of lessons and training led her to an instructor position. After gaining additional experience she was able to expand her teaching skills to accommodate the very beginner rider to the advanced hunter. In addition, trainning level dressage and beginning levels of western riding.

Finding the suitable horse for the client is an additional servive that she provides. She enjoys the challenge of matching the client's ability and personality to that of the horse.

She looks forward to helping her riders achieve their goals. Whether it's going to horse shows, learning how to canter or just becoming a better rider, she will do her best to help them accomplish it here at Sagebrook Farms.

Believe it or not Gwyn started out as a professional motorcycle racer. After years of racing, she parked her Harley only to find a new hobby, horseback riding.

Gwyn, being the animal lover that she is, became instantly addicted. Her persistence and love for the sport earned her a spot as a working student at the facility where she was currently riding and training.

When new horses arrived at the barn, she was one of the select few who would test ride them and help determine their suitability as a lesson horse. As her horsemanship knowledge broadened and her riding ability improved, she was then approached to begin sharing those skills with fellow students.

Gwyn shares her knowledge in riding and in basic equitation with her students as their instructor. In addition she has also taught the Junior BHS (British Horse Society) classes and met the specific required standards.

To Sagebrook Farms, Gwyn brings her outgoing personality, wonderful sense of humor and above all, her love and knowledge of horses.
